I love these two. They're beautiful people. They are my fantasy Brangelina. :) So even though they most likely AREN'T a couple in real life, I've chosen to draw them as such. Here's the pic. (Not in my gallery...since it isn't prurient, I'm safe to put it on Photobucket).

Hi all. I've updated the Robin Hood folder in the gallery with a new pic--it's a modern version, again, of the OT3 (Marian/Allan/Guy of Gisborne), this time doing their dirtiest in a club setting, dancing together! When I heard Finger Eleven's Paralyzer for the umpteenth time, I couldn't help myself. :)

FAN ART POST: From the Robin Hood fandom

Again, updating late.

I've posted three pics into the ROBIN HOOD gallery (see sidebar for link to the gallery). They're not new--I've posted them elsewhere--but they are new to the gallery, and all adult-rated.

You'll find that most of my fan-art is adult-rated, since the writers of the fandoms I follow seem to never go that one little step further... sometimes, though, it's just to illustrate a brilliant fic, or to illustrate a drabble I've got going in my own head, since I can't write for shit.

To everyone who's been wondering where I've been, sorry. I've been updating

siriuslypeevedevery day and neglecting this art journal, but you can be sure that nearly all the art I have is in the gallery, for you to browse and critique (if you like).

Please do comment--I apologize to those who contacted me at the other journal to be added; please rest assured that if you have a high tolerance for whining and fan-girling, I'll be happy to add you there as well!!!

You may have noticed that I haven't really updated the Sparrabeth folder much. I've been somewhat taken with the BBC Robin Hood lately, in particular Sir Guy of Gisborne (and the actor portraying him, the gorgeous Richard Armitage). Lately, my fandom has been all over the place.

I promise I'll update soon with a few more images. In the meantime, please accept my apologies. xo

ART POST: STARDUST art

Wow. It's been a while. Well, obviously I went to see Stardust over the summer, and it was a rip-roaring flick. I have to admit, along with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was my favorite fantasy film of the year. I'm sorry to admit that it even superceded Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which was such a huge disappointment in many respects.

In any case, I've completely ignored the book!verse here, with apologies to Neil Gaiman who is my GOD. I've chosen instead to go with my modified version of the movie!verse, because...well, in my version, Una is not kidnapped by Ditchwater Sal until she's an adult, and she and Septimus are somewhat 'cesty. They are half-siblings, and there's something about her being the oldest that doesn't quite fit, anyway...she looks younger than he, so I personally think she's actually more "faerie" than he is, also.

At any rate, here's the pic.

Just a quick update, because this has been posted elsewhere:

There's a new Sparrabeth pic in the gallery--basically a "canon-ish" post-AWE fantasy of mine; Jack finds the Fountain of Youth, and...brings some of it back to Elizabeth.

I posted this to sparrabeth recently, so I'll just point to that entry, since it is a "drawble," and there's a scrap of fic I wrote along with it.

FAN ART: for cazcatharsis

This one's for a fic by cazcatharsis who is the wonderful mod over at beforethebeard...we're all huge fans of POTC's Davy Jones over there, and Caz wrote a magnificent Davy/OC fic called "The Isa Chronicles" (which I will link as soon as I can).

Anyway, this one's called "No More Pecks On the Cheek, Isssa..." (Davy is the proverbial three sheets to the wind, so he's slurring). It's PG, no nudity, just a bit of sexual tension. ;)

3.) Please, please feel free to comment or crit. Caveat: You're free also to critique me on technical stuff in the drawings, but I'm more interested in hearing whether you had an emotional response. I'm 36, and my style ain't gonna change much. Therefore, comments about technical flaws in my work, while appreciated and noted, aren't really going to garner much of a response. Caveat #2: HOWEVER, if I've done something GROSSLY WRONG, I definitely want to hear about it!!!

As a matter of principal, I've joined fandom_flies and support them in the quest to find a space on the Web to blog without worrying that "fluid TOS" will not censor us, and we won't be treated like criminals, when we haven't violated anyone's rights.

I'm gonna be updating soon with fan art from POTC, HP, DRACULA and more Andy Serkis stuff. It's slow-going, but it'll get done.

I will update here with any news about whether/when/where I will be transferring my journal, just to have a backup somewhere.

And as always, comment if you want to be friended. :)

Hi everyone--

I've put a few old pics up in both the Harry Potter art gallery and the Andy Serkis one. Most of it is old stuff I just got around to transferring.

A few things before we continue. I will try VERY hard to update the blog as I update the gallery--I've been bad about that and so no one knows when I've put something new up, which is awful, because the whole point of this separate blog is for art posts.

Which brings up a point--

THIS IS ONLY FOR ART. I don't post anything here, unless it has to do with my drawings, which are mostly fan art. I will try to put a convenient link up to the galleries, so you don't have to fumble around on the blog to find it.

My *real* journal is maddarilke, and though I do post art there once in a while, all the good stuff is posted here. If you want me to friend you, please know that it's mainly full of my angsty, peevish real life and complaints about the world, it's extremely self-indulgent and stupid. ;)

It's Teddy Lupin and Victoire Weasley, I'm guessing a few years out of school. I tried to put as much of their parents in them as I could...movieverse, of course.
